How To Get A Lift Without Caffeine

Pregnant lady in grey dress and pink cardigan, lying on sofa, with cup of Get Up & Glow tea on table next to her

It’s horribly easy to pick up a cold or sickness in pregnancy or when surrounded by babies and toddlers.  Our Get Up and Glow blend is designed to help you feel at your very best and boost your immune system wherever possible.

Like the fresh fruits that they’re made from, the fruit in our Get Up and Glow blend have lots of health benefits.  They contain a variety of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants.  The grapes, hibiscus flowers and rosehip peels, all contain vitamin C which will help your immune system and help to protect you picking up colds – horrific in pregnancy.

The natural, low levels of sugar that naturally occur in the fruit infusion will also give you a pick up when you need it, without flooding your system with sugar.

Rosehips contain a variety of antioxidants; carotenoids, flavonoids, polyphenols, leucoanthocyanins and catechins, as well as 50% more vitamin C than oranges, an excellent immune booster.

Likewise, hibiscus is high in vitamin C and antioxidants.  A trial In 2009 studied hibiscus’s ability to support cholesterol maintenance, this time in people concerned with healthy blood sugar levels. Sixty subjects, mostly women, were given either one cup of hibiscus tea or black tea twice per day. After one month, hibiscus was able to help maintain total, LDL, and HDL cholesterol levels — as well as triglycerides — already within a healthy range.* Black tea, on the other hand, only impacted HDL levels. (Mozaffari-Khosravi H, Jalali-Khanabadi B, Afkhami-Ardehani M, Fatehi F. . J Altern and Comp Med 2009;15(8):899-903.)

Grapes are high in vitamin K, carotenes, vitamin B-complex, vitamin C and vitamin A, as well as micronutrient minerals like iron, manganese and copper.

It’ll have you revitalised, refreshed and ready to get up and glow whether you’re pregnant, or a hard working mum.
