Iced Tea Lollies Recipe
Iced tea lollies can be a huge relief when the temperature rises, and this basic recipe has got your back. They can help you cool down, but are also super healthy - no refined sugar in sight! And if you make them with certain teas, you can prepare for labour or support your milk supply too.
They are super easy to make. For 4 lollies (or more depending on your mould) you will need to:
☀️ Place 1 bag of Get Up & Glow tea in a jug (approx 300ml or more)
☀️ Add 200ml of freshly boiled water and wait 15 mins or so before popping into the fridge to cool
☀️ Pour into your ice lolly moulds and pop into the freezer until frozen
You can add grapes or other fruit to make them more exciting, and a splash of honey or agave syrup if you prefer them to be a little sweet. But this basic recipe will get you a long way.
If you're breastfeeding, try using our Milk's Up breastfeeding tea, as a super chilled way to get natural galactagogues into your diet.
And if you're in your final trimester (from 32 weeks on) we highly recommend trying The Final Push raspberry leaf tea made into ice cubes. Crunching ice cubes can be an amazing way to cool in the heat, but the raspberry leaf in this blend will help your body prepare for labour. It's been linked in studies to reducing the second stage of labour (when you push) and reduce interventions in birth.
You could even add the ice cubes to a glass of sparkling water or lemonade - they'll add a minty flavour and be the tastiest birth preparation you ever.
So cool off naturally and healthily, with added benefits!
