Award Winning Morning Rescue Tea

Pregnant lady sat down eating breakfast with pack of morning rescue tea and a cup of tea by them

Have you considered trying our morning sickness tea?  Morning Rescue? It just won a bronze award for best morning sickness products in the 2018 Bizziebaby Awards.

We’re beyond delighted.  It was inspired by the nausea that both Kate and I experienced when pregnant with our babies.  Mine was much worse with Hector – some people say boys give you more sickness, but who knows?!

One of the few things that helped me was lemon juice in water – the smell more than anything.  And when we started designing the range, a tea to combat morning sickness was high up the list.

I knew it had to be a strong lemon base, and also that there was some research to show that ginger could help with symptoms of morning sickness.  We worked with a number of ingredients that have been used for millenia to aid nausea.

Lemon Verbena

Lemon verbena contains an amazing antioxidant called verbascoside, which increases the level of tyrosine phosphatase in your body, which reduces inflammation. This can help soothe an irritated stomach. Also, the lemon aroma has been anecdotally said to relieve the feeling of nausea for some women.

Lemon Balm

The aroma of lemon balm can be very soothing when suffering with Morning Sickness. It has been used for hundreds of years as a natural tummy soother due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

Ginger

Studies from the National Institute of Health in America show that ginger is safe as part of a pregnancy diet, and that it can reduce nausea and vomiting. This is because of one of its active compounds, called 6-gingerol, which makes the gastrointestinal muscles relax.  Of all the herbs that can help ease Morning Sickness, this is considered to have the strongest effect.

Mint

Used for millennia as a stomach soother, mint is another anti-inflammatory herb, and it also aids digestion which can be a real benefit later in pregnancy, when digestion is known to slow down.

Lemongrass

Known as a ‘nervine’, lemongrass can help reduce stress and tension in the body. Soothing both your stomach and your mind.

The finished blend was reviewed by judges for Bizziebaby – real life women who were suffering from morning sickness.  Whilst natural remedies always have a varied impact on women, one lady in particular really saw the benefit.  She made us incredibly happy by saying – ‘The tea was 100% effective, I have tried all the old wife’s tales and nothing has helped as much as the tea. I had to force the first few sips as I was very nauseous but after that it was a godsend.’

Another lady wasn’t suffering from morning sickness when she reviewed it, but said ‘I did not suffer from morning sickness so could not judge this accurately however it did settle a bloated stomach.’.  Score!

It might not work for everyone, but here’s proof it works for some.  Let the battle with morning sickness commence…
